Friendly Dental Care for the Whole Family

What We Do

At Mains Drive Dental Clinic we have everyone from newborn babies, to people enjoying their retirement, registered with us. From busy Professionals, who want their smiles to be dazzling, to Mum’s who want their kids to stay healthy. As always, we offer each individual the best choices for them.

We see many patients privately as we feel this allows us to offer the treatments we feel are most appropriate for your needs, rather than what is, ”allowed.”

For example:

All of the above are not allowed under NHS regulations.

Tooth Whitening

We currently offer three different Whitening techniques:
Nitewhite, Daywhite and Enlighten Deep Bleaching

Tooth Coloured Fillings

We place lots of tooth coloured fillings in back teeth.
This requires both the use of specific materials and the knowledge of how to use them. When placing tooth coloured fillings in back teeth, it is vital to understand how the material sets. The technique is nothing like placing a silver filling, and failure to understand this can result in after pain and restoration failure.

Crowns and Bridgework

We normally use Lava ™ as our material of choice for Crowns and Bridgework. The material is an advanced ceramic, which is strong enough to be metal free. This is important as conventional crowns have a metal core, which has to be covered with opaque stain before porcelain is added. The opaque layer can cause the restoration to be dull and lifeless. As Lava™ has no metal to hide, the restorations fit well, and are absolutely beautiful.

Implants

We are happy to place and restore Implants for most people. In the right conditions, an implant is an excellent way to fill a gap, without either destroying some healthy adjacent tooth, or the need to wear a denture.

NHS

We see many Patients as NHS Patients:

  • Ladies who are pregnant
  • Mothers of children less than a year old
  • Those on Income support and other benefits
  • People aged 60 and over
  • And, of course, children

If you do not fall into the above categories, you may still be entitled to some help with the costs of your treatment. It’s always a good idea to contact the Surgery on 0141 812 6969 where someone will be pleased to help you.
